AIRPLANES

Students construct cardboard planes to learn the basics of flight.

BUOYANT BOATS

Students create foil boats to see how many pennies they can hold.

CATAPULT

Children will work in teams to build and test a simple catapult. The team that shoots their projectile the farthest wins.

CHEMICAL CAR

Students work to make functional cars and learn about limiting reactants as baking soda, vinegar, and water make up the car fuel.

CORK BOTTLE ROCKET

Students are tasked with creating a bottle rocket with materials from their house.

CRASH CAR

Students will be simulating a crash test using eggs and a car of their own design.

ELECTRIC CIRCUITS

Students build a basic circuit with resistors and LEDs to learn about Electrical Engineering.

FLOODWALL

Kids build a dam to prevent water from spilling into the other side of a container.

KNEE BRACE

Students will use various materials to stabilize an injured knee.

MAGLEV

The students will design carts to carry a certain amount of weight as quickly as possible down the length of the track.

MARBLE COASTER

Students use insulation foam tubing and tape to create marble roller coasters.

MOUSETRAP CARS

Students create cars using mousetraps and other materials to learn about Mechanical Engineering.

RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE

Students create chain reaction projects that execute a simple task.

SHAKE TABLE

Students will create structures out of various materials to withstand outside forces.

SLIME

Students create slime to learn about Material Science Engineering.
